YOKOHAMA, Japan - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) announced plans to exhibit three Life Care Vehicles (LVs) at the 53rd International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition & Forum (H.C.R. 2026). The display will include a concept based on the all-new Nissan Elgrand. The event will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from October 7 to 9.

Nissan calls its accessible vehicle lineup Life Care Vehicles (LVs), reflecting the company's aim to support customers in many aspects of daily life. The lineup covers a wide range of needs, from private use to operation by care facilities.

At H.C.R. 2026, Nissan will display the Elgrand Slide-up Seat Concept, a concept model based on the all-new Elgrand launched in July. Its powered seat, fitted on the left side of the second row, rotates out of the cabin and lowers to make getting in and out easier for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. A remote control operates the seat's rotation, raising and lowering, fore-aft slide and recline functions, allowing another occupant to adjust it once the passenger is seated. Like the other seats in the Elgrand, the slide-up seat is generously proportioned and finished with high-quality materials to support a relaxed seating position.

The concept also features the Long Step, which has been well received since its launch. Its refined design complements the premium minivan, while its extended length serves both the front passenger door and the passenger-side sliding door. This allows people using either doorway to step in or out at the same time and makes access easier for a wide range of ages.

Nissan will also display the Serena Chair Cab Ramp Type, a wheelchair-accessible version of the Serena minivan that combines a spacious cabin and everyday practicality with advanced technologies and features designed for comfortable travel. The third exhibit is the Clipper Rio Chair Cab, a kei car that can carry four people, including one wheelchair user, and meets strong customer demand in the Life Care Vehicle segment.
