Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Yutaka Sanada; abbreviation: NMC) announced on July 16 the launch of four customized models based on the new Nissan Elgrand: AUTECH, AUTECH LINE, VIP and Step Type.
The new Elgrand AUTECH will go on sale in early August. The other models will be available nationwide through Nissan dealers from July 16.

New Elgrand “AUTECH”

AUTECH is a brand that carries forward NMC’s traditional craftsmanship, built through the development of a wide range of customized vehicles. With the concept of “premium sporty”, it is designed for customers who appreciate attention to detail, including the choice and finish of materials. Blue, inspired by the sea and sky of Shonan/Chigasaki, the birthplace of the AUTECH brand, is used as the brand’s iconic colour.
This model is the second-generation Elgrand AUTECH. It has been created as the flagship model of the AUTECH brand, adopting equipment and design features suited to the fully renewed new Elgrand as a premium minivan.
The exterior features design elements inspired by the sea of Shonan/Chigasaki. The large front grille uses a dot pattern that expresses the glittering surface of the sea, while the signature LED motif is inspired by the wake created behind a boat moving across the water. Metal-like finish parts at the lower body, inspired by whitecaps at the shoreline, help create a low centre of gravity and wide stance. Together with exclusive dark metal-finish aluminium wheels, these elements express a sporty character.
The interior is coordinated primarily in black across the seats, door trim and instrument panel, with blue stitching throughout to symbolize the AUTECH brand. The seats newly adopt premium Nappa leather developed to deliver a softer and more supple feel. Exclusive quilting inspired by ripples on the water is applied to the seats and door trim, creating a cabin with a more premium and special atmosphere.
Six body colours are available, including the AUTECH-exclusive two-tone combination of Deep Ocean Blue with a Midnight Black roof.

AUTECH: Main Specifications

AUTECH LINE is a cool and stylish model for customers seeking an authentic and sporty style.
It is equipped with a dark metal grey front grille, an exclusive front protector, exclusive aluminium wheels and metal-like finish door mirrors. The seat trim is unified in black and uses TailorFit™, which provides a comfortable, enveloping feel. These features create a sharper and more distinctive presence.

AUTECH LINE: Main Specifications

The new Elgrand VIP is a model that pursues a supreme mobile space, designed to meet chauffeur-car needs.
The exterior features a dark metal grey front grille, exclusive 18-inch wheels and VIP-specific emblems. It also includes welcome illumination that projects the “ELGRAND VIP” logo onto the ground, together with an auto step equipped with lighting functions.
The interior is coordinated primarily in black and uses premium Nappa leather seats befitting the VIP name. Standard equipment also includes a BOSE® 22-speaker Premium Sound System, which creates an immersive 3D surround-sound environment as if passengers were inside a cinema, a 15.6-inch rear-seat monitor and reading lights. Together with the quiet and comfortable ride of the base vehicle, these special features create an even more refined travel space.

VIP: Main Specifications

The Step Type adopts a long step that can be used simultaneously by passengers boarding or exiting from the front passenger seat and the passenger-side sliding door. The step extends and retracts in coordination with the opening and closing of either the front or rear passenger-side door.
The step features a refined design appropriate for a premium minivan. Illumination is provided not only on the step surface but also on the road surface beneath the step, helping passengers get in and out safely in dark locations while the clear LED light adds a stylish impression.
By making the height differences among the road surface, long step, vehicle kicking plate and vehicle floor as uniform as possible, the Step Type enables more natural and smoother entry and exit. Together with the large assist grip at the rear sliding-door opening of the base vehicle, it serves as a premium minivan hospitality feature for a wide range of age groups.
